There
is only one Jimmy Grimble
From
its very beginning, the movie "There's only one Jimmy Grimble"
appears to be a fairy tale - which does not necessarily have to be bad.
The plot is beautifully constructed; it remains unclear however, why Jimmy
is always beaten up older guys, without anybody doing something against
it...
The stunning soccer scenes, which exist in abundance in this movie, were
very well and reastically realized by the director, John Hay. Also the
cast of Jimmy and of the elder woman, who gives the old soccer shoes to
Jimmy, were perfectly chosen; both inspire the audience.
Overall,
this movie is very well worth watching - although, one never loses the
feeling of getting told a modern fairy tale.
