The Colour of Paradise
-- to this film's page --

The Colour of Paradise is a very interesting film. It poetically tells the story of a boy who has been born blind. Seeing the movie, one suddenly realizes how easy it is when one does not have to touch or to smell but to have in eyes instead. What deeply touched me was the fact that Mohsen Ramezani, alias Mohammad, actually is blind, making the story more realistic. But since the story is advancing slowly, some might think of it as uninteresting However, The Colour of Paradise is an exceptional movie about an exceptional theme: inborn blindness.

Mohsen Ramezani said about his work:
"When I was acting in the film I felt I had grown up.I saw many things which I had not seen before, things such as forest, the sea, the mountains, the prairie, the flowers, the river and lots of other things. Now I know how the world looks like."
